The network of “The King of Queens” is hosting a monarch of Manhattan this fall.
Per a release from Rosy Cordero of Deadline, New York Knicks star OG Anunoby has landed a guest-starring role on the CBS comedy-drama “Elsbeth,” which will debut its fourth season this October.
Anunoby joins Tony Award winner Nicole Scherzinger and “Succession” star Nicholas Braun on the list of visitors to “Elsbeth,” a standalone spin-off of “The Good Wife” starring Carrie Preston as the eccentric titular attorney.
Details about Anunoby’s role are being kept under wraps, as Deadline’s release mentions that he will only “make a special cameo appearance.”
This won’t be Anunoby’s first foray into mainstream television, as he previously appeared in a May 2026 episode of “Your Friends & Neighbors,” an Apple TV comedy-drama starring Jon Hamm.
Anunoby’s appearance on “Elsbeth” is set to be his major television appearance since he became a fixture of metropolitan championship lore.
The third-year Knick is famous for two of the most famous points in Madison Square Garden history, having tipped in a Jalen Brunson misfire at the end of the NBA Finals’ fourth game against the San Antonio Spurs. It was the penultimate piece of the Knicks’ long-sought championship puzzle, one that completed the largest comeback in Finals history at 29 points down.
Seeing Knicks players on the big and little screens has become an increasingly common sight upon the team’s ascension back to the top of the NBA.
Some, for example, noted that the team’s 13-game winning streak en route to the Larry O’Brien Trophy hoist came after Karl-Anthony Towns appeared in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” the anticipated sequel starring celebrity Knicks fan Anne Hathaway, who had a courtside encounter with Anunoby during a 2024 game at MSG.
