The Flame Thrower is back for one more year in the Big Apple.

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, Jordan Clarkson is back with the New York Knicks on a one-year, $3.9 million contract.

Clarkson first signed with the Knicks on July 7, 2025. In Clarkson’s 72 games (1 start) with the Knicks, he averaged 8.6 points in 17.8 minutes. His numbers dipped in the championship run, but he was a pivotal piece off the bench in multiple games throughout.

Even without his on-court help, Clarkson secured himself as a positive locker-room presence.

The 12-year veteran has had a fair share of experience to bring to the Knicks’ locker room.

Josh Hart praised his abilities before he even set foot in New York when he first signed in 2025. The two briefly shared the floor with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017-18 season.

“I was excited. I mean, great dude, gonna fit right into the culture that we have, obviously, something that can create his own shot,” Hart said about the Knicks signing Clarkson on the Roommates Show. “[Clarkson] can break down the defense, and we needed at times, you know, last year. So it would be a great addition in terms of role. And also as a locker room guy.”

Fans have also praised his medical prowess, as he helped heal OG Anunoby’s wrist against Memphis and his ankle against the Hawks in Game 1.
