New York Knicks fans won’t have to wait long for an NBA Finals rematch.
It’s likely background noise for thousands of Knicks fans still engaged in championship celebration mode, but the NBA released the schedule for the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League slate on Friday.
The Knicks’ summer schedule opens against their Brooklyn counterparts on July 10 before facing those of the San Antonio Spurs a day after. The slate closes against the Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors on July 13 and 16, respectively. A fifth game against an opponent to be determined will be revealed after the opening quartet is complete.

The Knicks’ Summer League group will likely feature Jack Kayil and Tyler Nickel, the two rookies chosen in this week’s draft. The German-born Kayil was the 39th overall pick while Nickel arrived out of Vanderbilt eight choices later.
Other potential roster candidates include Ariel Hukporti, Kevin McCullar Jr., and the newly re-signed Mohamed Diawara.
James Edwards III of The Athletic reported that assistant coach T.J. Saint will take over as head coach after director of video services and player development Jordan Brink fulfilled the role last year.
The 2026 Las Vegas Summer League festivities will be staged from July 9-19, with opening night featuring a clash between top two picks AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson when Washington and Utah’s rookies do battle.
