Karl-Anthony Towns has officially brought a ring to New York.

Shortly after his New York Knicks wrapped up a Christmas Day victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Towns engagement to his longtime girlfriend Jordyn Woods was revealed. The All-Star center popped the question at Overstory, a renowned cocktail bar in the city’s Financial District.

Woods, a Los Angeles-born model and reality television star, unveiled the news with photos of Towns’ proposal in an Instagram post captioned “Marry Christmas.” United States Olympics legend Simone Biles, WNBA All-Star Angel Reese, and New York Liberty/NBA/WNBA commentator Ros Gold-Onwude are among those who posted well wishes in the comments.

Woods is perhaps best-known for her appearances on the E! reality series “Life of Kylie.” She and Towns went public with their relationship in 2020 and have frequently spoken about their relationship in interviews and on social media.

From a Knicks sense, it was thrust into a wider spotlight when Towns missed a March game against Golden State due to listed “personal reasons.” Opponent Draymond Green publicly accused Towns of trying to avoid a matchup with Bay Area teammate Jimmy Butler but Towns was supporting Woods after the death of her close friend.

More recently, Woods made headlines for her special birthday gift to Towns: when the former Minnesota Timberwolf turned 30 last month, Woods gifted him a 1990s Isuzu Trooper SUV, the same model his late mother Jacqueline Cruz drove when he was a child.

โ€œWe were friends for years before we got together, so for me it was never like, โ€˜OMG, I just met this guy,โ€™โ€ Woods said of her relationship with Towns in an October interview on BET’s “Tamron Hall Show.”ย โ€œHe went through a lot in his life. I lost my dad when I was 18 and, so through what I went through, I was able to be a different type of support system and that was what really blossomed our relationship.โ€

Knicks fans certainly hope that this isn’t the only ring that Towns adds to his fingers this basketball season. Towns put up 14 rebounds and 11 points in Thursday’s win, New York’s 15th at Madison Square Garden this season.

Towns’ quest to procure another ring resumes on Saturday when the Knicks open a three-game road trip against the Atlanta Hawks (8 p.m. ET, MSG/NBA TV).
