The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to four games Sunday evening while remaining undefeated at home this season, defeating their crosstown rival, the Brooklyn Nets, 134-98.

The Knicks were firing on all cylinders, starting right out of the gate, jumping to an early 40-22 lead over Brooklyn entering the second quarter.

Jalen Brunson was in his element early, closing the first quarter with 12 points, giving New York their first offensive jolt of the night.

Mikal Bridges, facing his former team, came out firing. He opened the game on a tear, scoring nine quick points and knocking down all three of his early three-point attempts in the first quarter, setting the tone for New Yorkโ€™s offense the rest of the way.

New Yorkโ€™s defense gave Brooklyn plenty of open looks in the first quarter, but the Nets couldnโ€™t take advantage, shooting just 13-of-30 (43%) from the field and 3-of-12 (25%) from beyond the arc.

The Knicksโ€™ grit sealed the deal against Brooklyn, highlighted by nine steals and a dominant showing on the glass.

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double with 28 points, while Mitchell Robinson added eight rebounds in just 16 minutes.

Overall, New York overwhelmed Brooklyn in every facet of the game, leaving the Nets outmatched from start to finish.

The only player New York had to worry about was Michael Porter Jr., who finished Sunday’s matchup with 25 points on 50% shooting from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc.

The Knicks will look to continue their win streak and remain perfect at home as they host the 4-6 Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
