With training camp less than three weeks away, the New York Knicks have filled all three of their two-way roster slots.
According to SNYโs Ian Begley, the Knicks awarded their two-way contracts to Kevin McCullar Jr., Trey Jemison III, and Tosan Evbuomwan.
Kevin McCullar Jr. is returning to the Knicks on a second two-way contract. A 2024 second-round pick, McCullar is expected to see most of his action with Westchester in the G League during the 2025-26 season.
Valued for his defensive grit, McCullar logged 13 games in Westchester last year, averaging 11.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.7 steals throughout 27.8 minutes.
New York worked out Jemison on Monday, and obviously, the front office and coaches liked what they saw. Jemison had a two-way deal with the Lakers last season but was waived in July.
The Knicks recently brought Trey Jemison in for a workout, and the showing was convincing enough to earn him a roster spot. Jemison, 25, joins New York after spending last season on a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers before being waived in July.
The 6-foot-10 center originally signed a two-year two-way deal with Los Angeles in January. He appeared in 22 games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds across 10.3 minutes while converting nearly 62% of his shots. He also had short stretches with New Orleans, Washington, and Memphis over the past two years.
In total, Jemison has logged 63 NBA games with 14 starts since going undrafted out of UAB in 2023. He holds career averages of 4.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per matchup.
Tosan Evbuomwan spent four seasons at Princeton before going undrafted in 2023. He earned a spot with the Detroit Pistons in Summer League and later took part in their training camp before being waived.
From there, Evbuomwan carved out a role in the G League with Motor City Cruise, eventually landing a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he appeared in four games. He later returned to Detroit and logged 13 NBA outings with the Pistons.
His journey continued last year with the Clippers, signing an Exhibit 10 deal before moving on to their G League affiliate in San Diego. By midseason, his play caught Brooklynโs attention, and the Nets added him on a two-way contract.
Evbuomwan saw real minutes with Brooklynโs rebuilding roster, but the teamโs influx of draft picks this summer forced the organization to move on after initially handing him a two-way contract.
