OG Anunoby‘s career-high 40 points paced the New York Knicks to a dominant 145-118 win over the Denver Nuggets in the Rocky Mountains on Monday night.

Yet again, the Knicks got it done on the offensive side of the floor. Moreover, the team’s unselfishness run continued strong, as their 45 assists in Denver matched a single-game franchise record.
New York jumped out to an early lead, besting Denver by a 36-24 score after one quarter. The squad’s 40 second-quarter points put them at 76 at the half, completely dominating with a 23-point lead.
The man of the moment, Anunoby, shot a ridiculous 16 of 23 from the floor, including 5 of 7 from downtown. He also chipped in with 5 rebounds.
Jalen Brunson chipped in with 23 points on 8-14 from the floor, but he set a career-high in assists with a remarkable 17. Big man Karl-Anthony Towns backed up Anunoby in the points column with 30 points and a team-high 15 rebounds.
The Knicks shot a ridiculous 60.9% from the floor and 52.8% from three.
On the injury front, sixth-man Miles McBride made his return to the lineup after missing the last five games. McBride added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes.
As usual, Nikola Jokic led the way for Denver. The three-time NBA MVP finished with 22 points on 9-20 shooting, whereas Jamal Murray collected 20 points.
Leading the way for the Nuggets in the point column was Russell Westbrook who came off the bench. The much-traveled guard went for 27 points on 9 of 16 from the floor.
Next up for the New York Knicks is the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. It marks the fourth of the team’s current five-game road trip.
