Although the New York Knicks are listening to offers for Karl-Anthony Towns, it’s unlikely that they will end up trading him.

Per the New York Post’s Stefan Bondy, the Knicks aren’t actively shopping Towns, and based on the current NBA landscape, the odds that he’s not moved before the trade deadline remain the best.

“The Knicks, according to league sources, have not been shopping Towns or talking to other teams about a trade ahead of the Feb. 5 deadline,” Bondy wrote on Monday.

“Fixing KAT will be a collaborative effort, and itโ€™s the most important assignment for the Knicks right now. In all likelihood, the trade deadline will pass with him on the roster.”

Towns, 30, is currently suffering through one of the worst seasons of his professional career. Averaging just 20.5 points on .469 shooting from the field and .364 from 3-point land, the Edison, N.J. native has been vocal about how lost he’s been in Mike Brown’s system this season.

Adding fuel to the fire was the Knicks’ latest victory. New York’s 112-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday featured a third-quarter lineup that made an incredible difference, without Towns on the floor.

With the trade deadline drawing closer, the rumors continue to surface. The latest in Knicks’ land includes (but is not limited to) the Portland Trail Blazers expressing interest as an addition team in a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, thanks to their interest in Mikal Bridges, and the possibility of Jrue Holiday coming to the Big Apple.

The 27-18 New York Knicks take a two-game winning streak into a Tuesday night home game against the Sacramento Kings.
