NBA superstar Jalen Brunson has expressed interest in participating in a "New York Knicks Twitter" game this summer.

The proverbial gauntlet has been thrown down.

NBA superstar Jalen Brunson has officially expressed interest in a New York Knicks Twitter game this summer—much to the delight of content creators.

“Actually, I [have] some time; I’m down to do this Knicks Twitter game this summer,” Brunson wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) account Sunday night.

Brunson, 28, competed in the NBA 3-Point Shooting Content Saturday night. Unfortunately, he was yet again ousted in the opening round after snagging just 18 points.

Apparently, once the dust settled, he figured that getting the many Knicks content creators hyped up was the correct course of action.

As many fans know, ideas like this one are constantly floated into a team fandom’s atmosphere. Just a couple of years back, New York Jets fans pushed for a “Jets media” vs. “Jets fans” flag football game.

To that, I say this: My hamstring snapped just thinking about the idea.

From what I gather, the Knicks Twitter game has been a push for some time now, with the @KnicksMuse X account in the forefront.

How it would work is anybody’s best guess, but there’s no chance Brunson could team up with his NBA brethren.

No matter the rules or structure, just make sure you don’t yell at the Knickerbockers point guard:

Brunson is currently averaging 26.1 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in 35.2 minutes per game this season. He’s fresh off his second NBA All-Star appearance, but everybody knows where his focus truly lies.

Jalen Brunson, the captain, has his eyes on an NBA championship.

Brunson and the Knicks return to action this Thursday night when the Chicago Bulls visit Madison Square Garden.
