Itโ€™s like dรฉjร  vu all over again.

For the second week in a row, theย New York Knicksย and Oklahoma City Thunder are set to clash in an anticipated east-versus-west matchup. This time, the Knicks will be fighting for paybackโ€”at Madison Square Gardenโ€”after a tough loss that started a three-game losing streak last week.

It’s about revenge

Despite coming out on the short end of a 117-107 contest four games ago, New York proved it could hang with the best team in the Western Conference (by record).

The Knicks hung tough through one half of play last week, even enjoying solid leads at times, but a fourth-quarter collapse left them empty-handed as they exited the Paycom Center.ย

This time, Jalen Brunson’s team must assert themselves early and not let their foot off the gas if they want to emerge on top.

Plus, they’ll have to meet the physicality challenge if the officials call the game in a similar fashion to game No. 1.

Injury report

Just as last week, Alex Caruso remains on the Thunderโ€™s injured list, along with a myriad of others:

  • Alex Caruso (OUT: Hip)ย
  • Chet Holmgren (OUT: Hip)
  • Alex Ducas (OUT: Back)ย
  • Ajay Mitchell (OUT: Toe)
  • Nikola Topic (OUT: ACL)

OKC has proven its ability to remain competitive via committee despite injuries to some of its top talent. Role players who usually surround stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen William have bought into the โ€œnext man upโ€ mentality.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns (GAME-TIME DECISION: Knee)
  • Miles McBride (GAME-TIME DECISION: Hamstring)
  • Mitchell Robinson (OUT: Ankle)
  • Kevin McCullar Jr. (OUT: Knee)

Deuce McBride remains on the Knicks’ injury report as a game-time decision after suffering a hamstring injury during warmups versus the Jazz on Jan. 1. McBride has yet to play in 2025, but New York hopes he can go for this one.

Odds

The Knicks are the underdogs in this game despite being at home in Madison Square Garden.

  • Knicks spread: +4 (-112)
  • Knicks moneyline: +154
  • Thunder spread: -4 (-108)
  • Thunder moneyline: -185
  • Game Over/Under: 225.5
