Meanwhile, the scrappy Orlando Magic enter the game at 19-13, just two games behind the Knicks for third place in the Eastern Conference.
TV info (how to watch)
Local Knicks fans can catch the game on MSG Networks at 7:00 p.m. ET. Down south, Magic fans will have to turn to their own regional coverageโBally Sports Florida.
Both MSG Networks and Bally Sports Florida can be viewed in select streaming services such as (but not limited to) FuboTV, YouTube TV, and NBA League Pass.
Injuries
For the Knicks, only Mitchell Robinson is still firmly sidelined (as he recovers from offseason surgery). Precious Achiuwa has been back for quite some time now, and he’s contributed nicely off the bench.
After missing the Minnesota Timberwolves win last Thursday for personal reasons, Josh Hart returned to the lineup this past Saturday in New Orleans. He’s since played two more games, featuring his hustle plays down the stretch in New York’s monstrous Christmas Day victory.
For Orlando, star player Franz Wagner continues to be out of action with a torn oblique. Injuring it earlier in December, Wagner was reported to be re-evaluated in about four weeks.
Moreover, both Paolo Banchero (oblique) and Gary Harris (hamstring) are on the team’s official injury report. Harris is listed as probable to play against the Knicks, whereas Banchero is “still not yet doing contact drills,” according to head coach Jamahl Mosley.
Odds
- Odds: Knicks (-278), Magic (+225)
- Spread: Knicks -7.5, Magic +7.5
- Over/Under: 213.5 points
The Knicks odds for this one are most commonly at -6.5 for Friday night. The Magic are just so banged-up right now that not even homecourt can put them over the top in the oddsmakers’ eyes.
